So I think I did mow once more after my last post last year, but this year I have wonderful results to report! After just one year I have wonderful wildflowers that I don't remember seeing here before. I posted pics of a couple different varieties of purple flowers, wild onions are abundant all over as well. Late last year someone was thinning out a garlic patch and I inherited them. After laying in my yard drying and dying for several weeks, I finally turned a small patch of hard earth by hand out by my drive and transplanted them, thinking they would probably die and not return. This spring, they are doing great, already growing faster than the grass, and the smell is wonderful. I will post a pic of it.

Wonderful that you are such an intelligent human. You are saving energy, avoiding pesticides and going natural. You are on your way to a beautiful and at least partially edible lawn.
