When we aliens blush our red blood (yes, we have red blood too!) rushes to the surface, and unfortunately red and green cancel each other out. On the color wheel they are complimentary colors so mixing the two makes them muddy. So a green alien blushing is not attractive. Our cheeks become a muddy, darkish green.

And when we blush we realize how terrible we look and causes us blush even more. I hope you never have to witness such a thing.
