Nice job! I love good recycle ideas! I use an old boat for my garden Here's a picture from last year when we filled it up with soil. This year it's full of garlic and lettuce and other veggies!

Lady Bug added a blog post
I made this in less than an hour, with only a hammer. The glass was removed from a house about to be demolished, the painter's plastic has been repurposed, the wood sticks are handles of broken tools.

Non Lawn Mowing Results

So I think I did mow once more after my last post last year, but this year I have wonderful results to report! After just one year I have wonderful wildflowers that I don't remember seeing here before. I posted pics of a couple different varieties of purple flowers, wild onions are abundant all over as well. Late last year someone was thinning out a garlic patch and I inherited them. After laying in my yard drying and dying for several weeks, I finally turned a small patch of hard earth by hand… Continue

Update

I tried to be very green this summer as always, ok mostly. I only actually mowed the yard two times this year, and I'm already done for the winter. Both times it was over my waist and my other family members were complaining. We did have many more wildflowers than I expected to see in one summer, I enjoyed that very much. My lawn is now more lush where it used to be sparse and bare, I have moss around my trees and I really have seen an improvement in my yard. I think my total expense for the sum… Continue

Lawn Mowing

I have decided to help the planet in my own small way by not mowing it this year, or most of it. I have made a path to my driveway and done small areas around the house, but we are leaving huge patches all around to save the gas required for cutting. This has resulted in beautiful violets, bluebells, and other wildflowers, as well as wild onions, which we eat. This has saved me sunburn, time and muscle pain as well. Good all around!

From close observation, I see that humans who enjoy the same genres of music are more likely to be friendly with each other. The Earth is less evolved than our planet, so your music still has the emotional themes which I find very attractive in music.

Welcome, Earthling. Thank your for sharing your photos of snowy land. We missed out on seeing snow this year on Earth, but plan to stay long enough to experience it next year. Perhaps we'll zip to the north pole?
